We hereto ask the councillors of Waltham Forest market to immediately ban the sale of all products made of fur because of the following reasons:

- As a result of the Fur Farming Prohibition passed in 2000, all fur farms have been closed in the United Kingdom; but this country still imports products that contain fur from abroad

- Opinion polls show a whopping majority of over 80 per cent are against the fur

- Every major retailer has adopted a strict fur-free policy

We urge councillors to do the right thing and ban the sale of fur and thus follow the global trend.

Thank you for your interest in this extremely important matter.
