We, the undersigned, demand the immediate resignation of Judge Ralph Strother, of the Texas 19th district court. Here are the reasoning for our demands:
The sixth amendment guarantees the right for a speedy and public trial, but this piece of legislation was not honoured under any circumstances
LaBorde believe that jurors have been engaged in a lot of victim blaming - but this is not a reasonable basis on which to offer an extremely lenient sentence to the person who has been proven guilty
LaBorde did not allow Mary her day in court - this goes against the basic human rights
Judge Strother is part of a system of rich, powerful white men that protect other affluent, powerful white men
There are several ways to have this unlawful Judge removed: via the Texas Supreme Court or the Texas House of Representatives or by appealing directly to Governor Greg Abbott.
