You don't need to read a lot of articles online to understand that plastic is bad for the environment. It is up to humans to chance course and reverse the eco-disaster we are heading to. There is still time, but action must be taken now.
One of the most obvious way to do it is to get rid of plastic straws. Many fast food chains, like KFC, Burger King and McDonald's have already ditched this type of straws, but there are many companies out there that still operate with them, and one such example is CineWorld. The cinema giant appears not to have any intention whatsoever on this extremely important issue. The question is why?
A simply walk at the cinema and you will see that everything is surrounded in plastic, everyone is holding a cup with a plastic straw in their hands.
We, the undersigned, believe that if we apply pressure on these corporations, others will follow suit. The power of example will prevail, eventually.
A great alternative to plastic straws are those made from compostable materials - plant based, and when they break down they are as harmless to nature as a piece of seaweed floating in the ocean.
