In Australia, rescuing dogs from hot cars is against the law!

It is extremely important for pet owners to take the pledge not to leave their pets in heated cars, with the windows shut. Many think that if they are gone for 10 or 15 minutes, no harm will be done, but they couldn't be more wrong. The inside of the vehicle can heat up pretty quickly and pets start to become uncomfortable in no time.
Below I have attached some extremely important statistics that every pet owner should be aware of.
Sadly, in Australia, rescuing pets left inside vehicles is not against the law, which is a true shame. I set up this petition because I strongly feel the law must be modified to ensure such actions are deemed an offence.
Here is an example of why imposing such a law is crucial: just recently an adorable Mastiff was pulled out of a car after being left in a heated car for over an hour; the incident took place in Perth and the dog perished, despite best efforts from veterinarians. There have been dozens of other cases, but witnesses have opted to remain passive, because had they attempted to enter the vehicle, they would have been charged with destruction of property. Certainly this can't be right!
Please support my petition to ensure the law is modified and passers-by are allowed to rescue dogs locked in hot cars! Thank you!
