For years, the NFL has blessed London with a multitude of regular season games, held in colossal venues all across London - Wembley, Twickenham and, starting this year, Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The teams have put on a tremendous show almost every time and the games were usually instantly sold out.
The recipe of success has been achieved, as NFL was a pioneer of exporting this good old American game to Europe, and Britain was the natural choice to do so. But now it is time for the league to take it to the next level: set up an NFL franchise based in London.
Reasons to do so: the money is here. This is what all NFL owners care about (and so does the NFL Commissioner, the Goodell Bot). The fan base is here, the infrastructure is here (stadium, training facilities), and the time difference is not so bad, it can work (for instance, a game held in London at 2 pm is 9 am on the East Coast - what more could you ask for breakfast. London can provide struggling franchises like the Jacksonville Jaguars a whole new financial life. It would be such a shame to throw this opportunity out the window!
Please sign my petition and urge the NFL to consider our proposal. We must show the people in power that we have the numbers and that we are ready for action! I am certain all the games will be sold-out each week, which can't be said for many teams across the Pond, at home.
