We, the undersigned, recognise Harriet Tubman as a true hero, not just for the black community, but for the entire United States of America.
It has been revealed that the Treasury Secretary is the one that keeps delaying the approval of the $20 bill, that would remove Andrew Jackson and have the face of Harriet Tubman on it. Mr. Obama had, in fact, also created a mock-up bill, but the Trump administration seems to be ignoring everything that is going around on this issue. We believe it's unfair!
There is no question that Ms. Tubman must be honoured like the hero she is, a symbol for the entire United States.
President Trump's history with the black community is tumultuous, to say the least. As a candidate, he frequently urged voters to abandon the Democratic Party and switch sides; as a President, he would boast about the dramatic reduction of unemployment among black people; but his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, accused him of bigotry and revealed the true nature of the President.
We ask the Trump administration to make things write and honour Ms. Tubman and stop delaying the approval of the new $20 bill. Thank you!
