I have been a Maple Leafs fan my entire life and I feel it is time for the team to get back to true winning ways and start earning trophies. I have never been able to say I am proud of this team for years, because of the poor performances on the rink.
The team put together in the past few years is good, but Boston eliminated us twice in the past two years, so it's clearly not enough. More needs to be done to ensure the Stanley Cup returns to Toronto. The banners that are placed on top of the arena are 60 years old, it was a different area, with far fewer teams, I hope I don't upset anyone when I say they are outdated and no longer relevant. It's time for a new area of hockey in Toronto!
The management must start splashing out cash and bring in better players - only a couple of super stars are needed to ensure domination. We are close, yet so far.
Toronto by far the biggest market in Canada, and the prices charged at the arena are ridiculously high - so the financial aspect doesn't constitute a problem for management.
