Allow strollers on the Metrobus!

It was come to a surprise for most of you, but the public transport in Washington DC (the Metrobus), does not permit parents from having open strollers on the bus. We, the undersigned, believe this measure is unfair and demand better treatment for parents on the Metrobus!

According to current rules, parents must fold the strollers upon entering the vehicle, which, on many occasions, constitutes a huge challenge for parents. We believe this policy can be changed, with minimal disruption of traffic, as well as other passengers. It's common sense, above everything.

It is also common sense to have bus ramps that also extended for strollers and that those strollers are allowed on buses without having them folded, at least during non-peak hours (just as we do with bikes, which are permitted).

In.a nutshell, here are our demands for the Metrobus management:

- To extend the bus ramps for strollers in all stations / for all vehicles
- Allow strollers in the bus without the obligation of having them folded (during non-peak hours)
- Allowing parents to sit in the area designated for wheelchairs, if there is no one using that particular area at the time of the boarding

Thank you for your consideration on this matter.
