On July 12th 2019 I traveled all the way from Birmingham to see my favourite DJ play an all night long set in Fabric Nightclub in Farrington, London with Sasha; however, after three hours of fantastic music, the power went off and the entire club had to be evacuated; organisers were unable to get the power on until 5 AM and the venue had to be shut down. Obviously, the party was ruined, and it was such a pity, because the atmosphere was amazing and the energy that gradually begun to build in the room.
Sasha has a long history with Fabric and I have missed very few parties at this venue. We all go back into the '90s and those gigs will never be erased from the collective memory (at least mine). The fact that Sasha took it to another level and is now hosting long hour sets in the venue is just perfect for me. As he once mentioned in an interview, Fabric is just an amazing spot for extended sets, as the speakers are partially blocking the crowd, but you can still see what's going on and it's simply easy to get lost in the music.
The management, as well as Sasha, announced they were looking to make it up to the fans and are in talk for another all night long session as quickly as possible. We, the undersigned, Sasha fans from all over the world, think that the best opportunity to do it would be on New Year's Eve; I simply can't imagine a better way to spend this magical night - I attended the same party in Brixton a few years ago and it was simply stunning. I want another go at it!
I sincerely hope Fabric will respect its dignity and will continue to provide great quality gigs with the progressive legend that Sasha is.
