Did you know saving a dog left in a hot car will get in in trouble in the UK?

This summer, Europe and the UK have experienced record-breaking temperatures. It is basically everyone for himself when it comes to the extreme heat. According to meteorologists, this July has been the warmest July of all history. It is obvious climate change played a significant role in this issue.
Sadly, many pet owners do not realize how hot it is for their furry companions and, on numerous occasions, opt to leave them in the car, without the A/C turned on. This is completely insane, temperatures inside the vehicle can reach up to 60 degrees C in a matter of minutes.
But the biggest issue is the fact that the people who try to save the abandoned animals can be charged with destruction of property; meanwhile, in many cases, the owners are never held accountable for their reckless behaviour. This certainly doesn’t seem fair to me and I am therefore petitioning the UK government to change the laws so they make sense. It is the owners of these pets that need to be charged, not the caring people trying to save them.
